“Umbrellas of Kyoto” Ballet Performance
September Monthly Program
Thursday, September 13th
10:30 at Sanctuary
Presented by Austrian Ballet Company -Tokyo
TUCWF kicks off its new year with a beautiful ballet performance presented by the excellent dancers and also our good friends, Austrian Ballet Company (ABC)-Tokyo.
Their ballet is not just beautiful but always with unique and excellent ideas mixed with Japanese culture or its traditional faces.
This could be done only by their great director, Chris Martinu, the caliographers, Rio Mitani and Alisa Takagi.
Chris describes it “Umbrellas of Kyoto, ABC-Tokyo’s latest ballet, is created in the characteristic style fusing percussion, ballet and Japanese culture.
Based on the iconic movie, ‘Les parapluies de Cherboug’ Rio and Alisa are once more adding an extravagant and entertaining production to the repertory.
As it’s just after summer vacation time, we have the program on the 2nd Thursday this month.
Please feel free to bring your friends or family. Monthly programs are always open to the public.
And let’s enjoy their wonderful performance together and catch up with the friends after long holidays.
Hope to see you all then!
