NEW! Lenten Haiku!
Lenten "Haiku"
During the forty days of Lent that prepare us for Holy Week and the wonder of Easter, we would like members and friends of TUC to write a “Lenten or Faith Haiku”. For those unfamiliar with a Haiku, it can best be described as Japanese poetry in the form of three lines with 5-7-5 syllables.
Example:
Jesus Christ is love (5)
He died but now lives again (7)
We live in His hope (5)
Please submit your Haiku with your name to the church office at office@tokyounion.org. We will then post them each day throughout the season of Lent on the TUC website: www.tokyounion.org Of course this means we need a minimum of 40 poems, so please we working on yours in the days and weeks ahead.
We pray that these “Lenten or Faith Haikus” will strengthen the TUC community as we journey in faith!
