Pastor Lydia Tembo joins Tokyo Union Church as the Associate Pastor. Shaped by a variety of diverse communities, Pastor Lydia was born in Zambia, raised in Queens, New York, and now lives in Princeton, New Jersey with her spouse and two children. With a deep commitment to justice, inclusion, and theological scholarship, Pastor Lydia is a passionate Presbyterian minister, bringing with her a love for preaching, pastoral care, and the transformative power of God’s call.

Pastor Lydia looks forward to worshiping at TUC in a diverse context with people from around the world and we are so excited to have her as part of the team!
