This process involves imaginatively engaging with the text through our senses (what Saint Ignatius called “an application of the senses”).
For more information, contact Richard Gardner (r-gardne@sophia.ac.jp).

Richard Gardner, Emeritus Professor of Religious Studies at Sophia University, is leading a course on reading and praying the psalms via Zoom. The format of the course is based on a modified form of Lectio Divina. This is not a “lecture course” and the aim is to provide participants ample time to share their questions and reflections. The course will be offered in two sections (i.e., choose one or the other): Monday at 7:00 PM or Friday at 10:00 AM and will run for about 45 minutes with the option for staying linked together a bit longer for further discussion and reflection. Enrolment for each section is limited to eight.
TUC Friends’ New Bible Study Series on the Book of Acts
The Book of Acts details the explosive growth of the early church. We will learn about the extraordinary acts of common and timid men and women emboldened by the power of the Holy Spirit after Jesus’ ascension to heaven. We will explore foundational truths of our faith and church culture and how we can apply them to our daily Christian life. Contact person: Lorene Clemens (tuc.friends.biblestudy@gmail.com)
