Reading and Praying the Gospel of Mark

We have begun the Gospel of Mark. This is not Bible study in the conventional sense. Rather, we follow an adapted version of Saint Ignatius’ Spiritual Exercises to guide us in our reading and prayer. This process involves imaginatively engaging with the text through our senses (what Saint Ignatius called “an application of the senses”).

For more information, contact Richard Gardner (r-gardne@sophia.ac.jp).

TUC Friends’ New Bible Study Series on the Book of Acts

The Book of Acts details the explosive growth of the early church. We will learn about the extraordinary acts of common and timid men and women emboldened by the power of the Holy Spirit after Jesus’ ascension to heaven. We will explore foundational truths of our faith and church culture and how we can apply them to our daily Christian life.   Contact person: Lorene Clemens (tuc.friends.biblestudy@gmail.com)
