Takeshi Shimizu

Takeshi is originally from Osaka but has lived most of his adult life abroad, in Canada, the U.S. and Belgium. He started attending TUC in the Fall of 2010 in search of a faith support group and a place where he could serve, and immediately became involved in outreach activities. Since coming to TUC, he was an active member in MOHN serving as the coordinator for the monthly lunches and was a part of the Outreach team that served in ARI and Tohoku after the earthquake. He served as an Outreach elder from 2017 to 2020, before his work-related transfer to Chicago, Illinois. He is a contributing member to the TUC’s instrumental ensemble and the alter guild. He works as a business manager in the medical devices industry.
