The team serves not merely to “support” worship but to embody it - through voice, instrument, visual presence, and behind-the-scenes care. Their work is both artistic and priestly, preparing the way for the gathered body to encounter the divine.

Musical Leadership
Sanctuary Choir & Union Praise Team choir
Lead congregational singing and offer choral anthems or contemporary/gospel worship songs.
Rehearse regularly and prepare music that aligns with the liturgical seasons and themes.
Foster spiritual formation through music and performance.
Union Praise Team band & other Instrumentalists
Collaborate with director(s) and vocal teams to create cohesive musical offerings and worship experiences.
Rehearse regularly and prepare music aligned with liturgical seasons and themes.
Provide accompaniment and musical texture for worship services.
Manage slides and in-house/online audio mixing. Attend tech rehearsals and collaborate with the Audio-Visual team.

Liturgical & Aesthetic Stewardship
Altar Guild
Prepare the sanctuary for worship services by lighting the candles, changing the banners, and cloths on the pulpit and lectern.
Prepare for the 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. Communion services, as well as for baptisms, Christmas, Easter, Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and other church holidays.
Ensure liturgical elements reflect reverence and theological integrity.
Flower Team
Arrange floral displays that reflect the liturgical calendar and enhance the sanctuary’s visual beauty.
Use color and form to evoke themes of celebration, mourning, or contemplation.
No specific techniques are required.

Technical & Sensory Facilitation
Audio-Visual Team
Manage sound, lighting, and projection to support worship flow.
Ensure accessibility and clarity for in-person and online participants.
Create visual environments that support the mood and message of worship.
